1965

Moshe Caspy opens the first office in Zion Square, Jerusalem

After studying accountancy for four years, Moshe was excited to open his own accounting firm, leaving his job as a senior manager in the State Controller’s Office, and began to build his reputation in a half-room office in Zion Square in Jerusalem.

1978

Creating an anchor for clients

Moshe Caspy forges ties with several large institutions and begins to provide services to clients like Bank Yahav, Na’amat, Hadassah Hospital and several government ministries.  Three new employees join the Firm, including Eitan, Moshe’s son, who begins as an accounting intern.

1987

Firm changes its name to Caspy & Caspy and moves to Rechavia

The Firm continues to expand and grow, while retaining a dedicated staff and family atmosphere. Eitan Caspy obtains his CPA and joins as an active partner, together with Moshe Caspy. Together, they give the Firm its name – Caspy & Caspy Certified Public Accountants.

1996

Expansion of Firm’s activities, including different economic sectors and servicing both large and small clients

Moving to its current offices, growing by about twenty employees, while retaining personal service and the sense of family. 

The Firm enters a large number of economic sectors and clients, from mega-clients to individuals.

2002

Firm tenaciously negotiates for restitution of property of Holocaust victims valued at NIS 15 million

Appointment of the Firm by the Knesset’s Parliamentary Committee for Locating Property of Holocaust Victims. Wide-ranging consulting to the Company for Location and Restitution of Property of Holocaust Victims, Through our work, the Company received NIS 15 million, which was transferred to heirs and for assisting Holocaust survivors.

2015

The firm celebrates  50 years  of activity and joins the third generation of the Caspy family

The Firm is located in the heart of Jerusalem and provides services to clients throughout Israel. The emphasis on a personal connection to each client has led to retaining a technically proficient and dedicated staff, as well as a warm friendly atmosphere.

Moshe Caspy, CPA

Founding Partner

In 1965, Moshe Caspy founded the firm of Moshe Caspy, Certified Public Accountants, which later evolved into Caspy & Caspy, Certified Public Accountants. Moshe Caspy served as the Firm's managing partner for decades. Has been a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Israel since 1964. 

Served as the auditor for Bank Yahav for State Employees Ltd. and represented the State Auditors' Office in special assignments outside of Israel. Moshe Caspy served in a voluntary capacity as the Chairman of the Balance Sheet Committee of Hebrew University of Jerusalem and as a member of the executive committees of public institutions in the fields of health and welfare.

Eitan Caspy, CPA

Managing Partner

Eitan Caspy joined the Firm in 1980, and has served as Managing Partner and Technical Director of the Firm since 2000. Has been a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Israel since 1987.

Served as Chairman of the Liaison Committee of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants with Hebrew University of Jerusalem and with the Jerusalem District of the Israel Bar Association. He also served as the Chairman of the Tax Committees (3 authorities – Income Tax, VAT and National Insurance) of the Jerusalem District of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Between 2009-2015, Eitan Caspy has served as a member of the Executive Committee of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants and as the sole representative of the Jerusalem District, which numbers more than 800 accountants. Since 2011, serves as a member of ICPAS’s Tax Authority Committee.

Ariella Isaac, CPA

Individual and corporate taxation, consulting to Government ministries, audits of NGO’s and payroll audits on behalf of the Registrar of Amutot (NGO’s).

Has 20 years of experience. Ariella joined the Firm as an intern, and serves as a Senior Audit Manager, coordinating audit engagements and complex, large-scale projects. 

A graduate of the Hebrew University with a degree in Accounting and Statistics, and is a payroll inspector certified by the Ministry of Economics.

Jeff Melamed, CPA

U.S. tax compliance, including preparation of U.S. tax returns (individual, partnership, corporate, nonprofit, etc.), representation before the IRS, tax planning and consulting.

B.A. in Accounting, Loyola Marymount University. holds an accounting license in the United States and Israel. 

Moran Bar-Ami, CPA

Has 13 years of experience. Moran joined the Firm as an intern, and serves as a Senior Audit Manager.

A graduate of Bar Ilan University with a degree in Accounting and Economics, and is a payroll inspector certified by the Ministry of Economics.

Avner Fosh, CPA

Uzi Gamliel, CPA

Expertise in the representation of entities operating within and outside of Israel.  An expert in special audits of Amutot (NGO’s), including the performance of audits on behalf of the State of Israel. Has 8 years of experience. 

Uzi began with the Firm as an intern and serves as a Senior Audit Manager.

A graduate of Hebrew University with a degree in Accounting and Economics.  Has an MBA from Hebrew University and Ministry of Economics certification as a salary inspector.

Shani Fergun, CPA

Has 7 years of experience. Shani joined the Firm as an intern, and serves as a Senior Audit Manager.

Erez Gur Arie, CPA
